Luigi-themed 2DS on the way?
Images of unannounced portable indicate it will be white/green with Luigi silhouette on the back.
Nintendo may be preparing to announce an all-new Luigi-themed 2DS model. A tipster sent Kotaku images of the unannounced special edition, which is white/green with a Luigi silhouette on the back.
A special Luigi-themed 3DS XL is currently available, but only in Japan. This model will be released in Europe on November 1.
Nintendo has not announced a Luigi-themed 2DS and the company was not immediately available to comment.
For Nintendo, 2013 is the "Year of Luigi," commemorating the iconic character's 30th anniversary from his original appearance in 1983's Mario Bros.
2013 so far has seen the release of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, New Super Luigi U, and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
