Lucasfilm confirms all future Star Wars content to be canon, including the games

KOTOR is cannon to me. They're better than any of the movies ever were.

I think KOTOR and SWTOR could make for some great movies and what not regardless if they are cannon or not, they can still make them, and they will still be awesome. Plus they take place thousands of years before the original movies anyway so who cares if it is considered cannon or not?

What so The Old Republic Era is not canon?

All 6 movies are canon? Whoops, they just blew their chance to disavow the Phantom Menace movie.

I didn't realize Star Wars stuff that came out (besides fan fiction) wasn't all canon. These companies had to pay for the Star Wars license, didn't the licensing process include making sure those stories were consistent with the Star Wars universe?

I initially felt a little let down reading this, but I was thinking. Since the Clone Wars is canon that means delta squad is canon and that's awesome.

And here I was hoping that Dash Rendar might be relevant in the sequels...

Does this mean that Star Wars game where Storm Troopers are dancing to disco is not canon?!

If the sequel trilogy ends up sucking I don't care... But if it's really good and for some messed up reason they're going to tell important stuff in games and then expect you to know that shit when watching for example Episode VIII, I'll be so pissed! They'd have to be really stupid to **** up like that, but you never know...

After finding out that Palpatine pretty much only did anything because he had a hard on for the Old Republic era,I welcome this change.

Parts I wish were considered canon? Hmm, I may be a bit on the fence with the Expanded Universe comics and games (& TV series), but when it comes to the EU novels? Wow. 90% of them simply cannot be missed by a true Fan. From the Clone Wars to the New Republic and the Jedi Academy, to Thrawn to the Yuuzhan Vong Wars and even beyond. They are simply Classics. Well, there are mediocre works every now and then, of course. But those are the rare exceptions, rather than the rule.

in my opinion TFU shouldn't be canon because in this series starkiller(Galan marek) is a super hero jedi.

The EU, much like the European Union, is quite fractured and diverse, for good or worse. Sometimes, parts of it clashes with other parts and it's hard to find a resolution that acknowledges both parties' claims. Since fiction is not reality, you can simply appoint a group that has power, unlimited POWER!!! to make everything fit in and become canon. I think it's good to have a Unifying Force, so that we don't get Remnants that feels malplaced. There will of course be voices crying out in terror whenever this group does something, but it's hard to say whether anarchy or a dictatorship is the best way to go.

As long as we get canon dancing Lando and Han I think the franchise is in good hands har har har.
