A live-action TV show based on DC Comics' Teen Titans was first announced in September 2014. The show, Titans, would follow the adventures of a group of young heroes led by Dick Grayson. Grayson was Batman's original sidekick, Robin, and would eventually move on to take on the superhero guise of Nightwing.

The one-hour drama was set to also include Barbara Gordon, Starfire, Raven, Hawk, and Dove (Dawn Granger). Akiva Goldsman (Batman Forever) and Marc Haimes (The Last Word) were attached to write and be the executive producers.

Deadline reported TNT has decided not to move forward with the show. TNT President Kevin Reilly made the announcement at the network's Television Critics Association press day. Reilly didn't offer any details when asked and simply stated, "We just decided it wasn't quite where we wanted to go."

Originally production was tentatively scheduled to begin in Summer 2015.
