Ubisoft has shared a new character trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla that outlines who Eivor is and what they will face when the open-world action-RPG drops on November 17 for PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.

In the trailer, embedded below, Eivor seems to be in an internal conflict as they not only seek glory but also restitution. The narrator--some sort of wise sage or something--clarifies that she can see Eivor's fate and that whatever glory Eivor is chasing may end up costing them everything in the end. It's a chilling trailer that suggests Eivor may be hiding something, a fact Valhalla's narrative director Darby McDevitt hinted at in GameSpot's interview about Eivor's mysterious identity.

During its recent Ubisoft Forward livestream, the studio shared a lengthy gameplay deep-dive that went into detail about the game's mechanics, including the ability to recruit cats to your Viking army. Ubisoft said another digital event will happen later this year which promises "tons of game news."
