Lead Coder of Metropolis Leaves Bizarre

Bizarre Creations comments on the recent departure of Metropolis Street Racer's lead coder.

Amid much news stirring on Friday, Bizarre Creations released a statement in regard to one of its lead coders leaving the company. According to the release, Matt Birch, lead coder on Metropolis Street Racer, will be "leaving the project to pursue other interests." The statement went on to say that "Matt is leaving us on good terms, and his role has now been taken over. The new members of the Metropolis team now reunite the programming core that brought the original Formula One to the Sony PlayStation back in 1996."

Metropolis Street Racer will be released in Europe around the time of the Dreamcast launch. A US date has yet to be set.
