In an effort to "streamline existing operations and refocus its resources on mission critical objectives," TEN laid off fifteen employees on Friday.

The cuts, effective immediately, were made in practically every department, with engineering and the games integration being the least affected. No senior positions were eliminated.

According to TEN's Garth Chouteau, the layoffs were not anticipated and the decision was made fairly quickly after realizing that cutting costs was necessary in order to tweak the company's direction. "We believe in our existing business model and the purpose of the layoffs was to better support it," said Chouteau. He also said that a reduction of staff is not something the company plans to repeat in the next 12 months. This brings the total number of employees at TEN to 75.
