King of Fighters XII crowned on PS3, 360 in July

This is awesome news, I was kind of scared that King of Fighters XII would be released only in the Japanese arcades first. We've got Street Fighter IV out right now, King of Fighters XII during the summer, and Tekken 6 in the fall; it looks like it's going to be a good year for fighting game fans. Can't wait to use Kyo again! Isn't Samurai Showdown: Edge of Destiny supposed to come out this year also?

street fighter is more better than kof because sf moves and super combo's are simple and easy to execute compare to king of fighters, so i like street fighter rather than kof.

3d fighters always be looking sexy but onli 20? i thought KoF had a butt load of characters but o wells 20 is still pretty impressive

o wow another fighter this year? ill try it out for sure Athena, Blue Mary and Leona FTW! but i suck and i meant i really suck in KOF games so ill stick with SF4 for now.... where im getting better little by little

@ ahyumifan There's a "shoryuken" on the picture because for years Capcom has claimed that the character Ryo Sakazaki was a rip-off of Ryu and the shotokan characters. Capcom's response was the introduction of Dan, a rip-off of Ryo. Both companies are now quite playful about the alleged rip-offs. Know your history, little buddy, before you start with the "disgrace" talk.

By then I should have had my fill of SF4 and be ready to bring back Terry, Kyo, and King into the ring. Maybe Rock too if he's in this one.

@ nini200, sf1 had the shoryuken, and that was the 80's, and SNK did originate the super moves, but wasnt made popular until SF used it.

Shoryuken? Apparently Gamespot doesn't know who the true originators of those moves are. Also, Art of Fighting is the originators of the Super Gauge. Putting that word under Ryo and Terry is a dishonor to their names. That is seriously not cool GS.

@da illest101 I suggest getting The King Of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga (PS2) for a quick history update as each game in that collection is classic! as for this bit of news I'll go ahed a put this on my "tracked games" and I can't wait until Samurai Shodown Anthology (PS2) to come out!!!!!

OMG the world of fighting games is coming back with a megaton punch to the face, Thank God for an overseas release of this game I just Hope we can see a BlazBlue date soon.

This is awesome. All the chatter earlier today about it being PS3 exclusive can be put behind us now. So C'mon SNK/Neo*Geo...let's see some more new games from your back catalog! They're all golden in my opinion.

You people do know this game is complete 2d sprite based fighting, I hope? It's nothing like sf4. Read up on it if you don't believe me.

You're welcome Aurey. I was really dissapointed with no Mai or King too since Mai, Terry, and King (with B. Jenet replacing Mai in XI arcade and Jenet replacing King in console version since it added Mai) being my mains. I somewhat know Leona because I used her in place of King in Maximum Impact. It's going to be annoying having to learn another character from scratch for this game. I guess it will be Terry, Leona, and Athena in this. =/

Meh, I'm not quite sold on it yet. Then again, I didn't think Street Fighter IV would be that great and I'm loving it now, so maybe KOFXII will surprise me. ...okay, I'm just still pissed that they made Ralf as big as a freaking bus. ;_;

Don't forget that SNK Playmore will release KOF 2002: Unlimited Match for the PS2 (cross your fingers for the release to America between 2009-2010), also, the KOF Collection: The NESTS Saga (for the Wii, PS2 and XBOX 360) and finally the KOF: The Ash Crimson Saga (KOF 2003, KOF XI) P.S.: I hope that Aksys Games release BlazBlue for multiplatform consoles (PS3, XBOX 360 and Wii).

sigh...jashugan-you know nothing about what you're saying. and as far as endings. I've unlocked all of the prologues and endings for sf4 but haven't bothered to even watch them. sf4 should've looked like this, and played like this for that matter. At least the alpha and sf3 series still shine.
