It great to have some game-pla videos but it would be nice of gamespot to mind themselves that not every computer has 3D >.> Other then that the visuals look as good as they get from what I seen while I played Kz3's closed beta.

@BenFireFox If you bothered to look up stuff you will find all ps+ members will have access to socom 4 beta. No need to buy the game first.

Pretty awesome move on Sony's part. Both support the Move, and both are going to put it on the map. FPS with the motion controls is the future!

I only played socom 1 but nice feature for Killzone 3 the shooter we all are waiting for :D finally a new good one and not a recycled cod :S since socom will also get move compability i will give it a try but i think will be most time in killzone 3 since i loved all parts of the series Oo i wonder if trophys will be also as hard as in killzone 2 oO BUT!!!! Release the goddamn sharp shooter rifle for move now!!!! You can preorder it in usa for the releasedate of killzone3 why not in europe !?!?!?!? and pls why videos in 3d? shall we get sick while watching on normal monitor oO

by specially marked they means you have to buy a copy that says it has a beta code in it, most likely because they are only giving a certain number of them away.

What do they mean by specially marked? Do you have to get lucky? I really hope retailers don't capitalise on this and up the prices on those copies.

@COPMAN221, Those Kinect titles are actually looking pretty awesome. But, yeah, my PS3 will definitely see an uptick in play time this year.

@ muzza93 Some of the characters are kind of dead though. But yeah I hope in the future Killzone will return back to Vekta.

I hope Killzone 4 is back on Vekta in like 20 years time, and u get to play as all the characters from Killzone 1, but they are old, and it will be like The Expendables (Movie) lol.

Damn, I want to play KZ 3 even more! I've been interested in both games for a while now, and now it's a "two birds with one stone" scenario. That's a win in my book.

@MEDzZ3RO yup that is my problem with SF4 the moves are just too hard, I couldn't even complete training mode with the commands for combos on the screen no matter how hard I tried. MvsC2 isn't that hard but I guess thats why the pros call it a noob fighter.. idc I have the most fun with it. But ya you are right, a lot of genres on consoles have taken the backseat to FPS games these days, and I feel Halo is the one that triggered this off. At least a couple great ones have come about since, including these 2 SOCOM and Killzone. But so many franchises from last gen have gone extinct since this new direction of western gaming, like Def Jam FFNY, extreme sports (SSX, Street games.. remember EA BIG?), haven't seen any new Sly games yet or a lot of adventure themed games and game that had split-screen co-op. I wasn't a console FPS fan myself before this gen, but whatever I guess I just have to take what I get. The quality of the games that are good this gen is really good at least.

Even more reason for me to buy Killzone 3. Can't wait! :)

plus pple will get this game anyways, the MP beta codes look like a nice bonus and not a reason to buy the game

So since April has Motorstorm 3, Mortal Kombat, Portal 2 and Socom 4 coming out, i was not sure which game to get but with the beta codes i'll get with Killzone 3 when it comes out i will now know if Socom is worth the 40 pounds while keeping in mind that its not the final product but a beta

@jedediahpelland they already released the beta for Killzone 3 man. and i guess plus members who didnt buy killzone will also get beta access same with DCUO

Thats all fine and good, but wheres the Killzone 3 MP beta for plus members? And shouldnt plus members also get to play the SOCOM4 beta?? I thought this was part of the point of paying for plus.

@mad_krips It is sad. I have to say I'm more of a Tekken and Soul Calibur person then a Street Fighter one. Just because I find Street Fighters moves unnecessarily difficult to perform. Perhaps it's just me but I was struggling to pick it up for weeks and in the end gave up.

By the way, people are saying the games are unrelated, but this has happened before. inFamous initially came with Uncharted 2 beta access, and Sucker Punch isn't exactly Naughty Dog. So in my view they are related in the sense that they are all Sony first party developers. @MEDzZ3RO If that is really true then it's sorta sad. I still buy my fighters, and my friends still play it and get fun out of it. Just that the online fighting scene I'm just not up to par so I usually get beat up in Street Fighter 4 at least. I've also bought SC IV and Tekken 6 which I still play occasionally. Looking forward to MvsC3 and Mortal Kombat also.

A beta for a game that will be awesome that will be packaged with another game that will be extremely awesome. That's a whole lot of awesome. It appears that I need to get down and preorder KZ3 and Socom 4 very very soon.

What are some people here talking about, isn't Marvel vs Capcom 3 coming out on the 15th? I distinctly remember that it was going to make a great Birthday present for myself. @LordKaizer I'm in the same boat as you, I want them both. Hopefully I'll hoard up enough money for them by then, if I can resist the releases this month, I'm already being tempted by LBP2 and some buy 2 get 1 free deals this week.

Clearly the best way to move soldiers to and from battlefields is in unstable, completely unprotected open-air transport vehicles... I mean, what could possibly happen to them out there, right!? :-) A must-buy all the same!

@KaBo0m I bet they will. The fighting genre is in decline. Just look at how bad Tekken's doing now and they were the best sellers. I'm still getting both MvsC3 and Mortal Kombat but alot of people aren't into fighters like they used to be. It's the fps era now.

First Portal 2 will come with the PC version and Now this.. Is it me or is Sony on fire this year.. Well at least MS fans can be happy knowing they have plenty of exclusive Kinect games coming out :)

I really want the Beta but dont think I am going to get KZ3 so hoping they give it to plus members as well.

Now it just comes down to it....Bulletstorm with gears 3 beta..or killzome 3 with Socom 4 beta.
