TOKYO--Tecmo officially announced that it has set Kagero II: Dark Illusion's release date for June 30 in Japan. The game will be priced at 6,800 yen ($65) and will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 2.

Kagero II is the follow-up to the 1998 PlayStation game Kagero: Deception II. The sinister game lets gamers lure victims into various traps--including ankle-biting bear-traps and impaling spikes--and introduce them to an untimely death. Dark Illusion is the first Kagero game for the PS2, and it will feature a new graphics engine for some highly detailed doom.
