Just a few weeks before its scheduled release, Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising has been delayed. NovaLogic, the game's publisher and developer, made the announcement this morning in a brief press release. No reason for the delay was given, though the release did reveal a new approximate ship date--summer of 2004.

Pitting Indonesian rebels against near-future commandos, Joint Ops will combine squad-based tactical action with large-scale multiplayer combat. According to NovaLogic, the game will support more than 150 players at a time, even for those with a mere 56K connection. GameSpot's preview has more on-site intel about the upcoming PC game.
