Actor Hugh Mitchell, who played the slightly annoying photographer Colin Creevey in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, has come out to say his character should have ultimately survived.

Creevey was seen only in that 2002 film. He fought in the Battle for Hogwarts, ultimately being murdered by Death Eaters in the fight. He wasn't the only to lose his life, as other major characters like Fred Weasley, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Bellatrix Lestrange, Severus Snape, and of course Lord Voldemort also died.

According to Mitchell, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling might have been too "trigger-happy" when wrapping up the series. Creevey didn't deserve to die, he said on a recent Entertainment Weekly podcast.

"There's a sort of prevailing opinion that I think J.K. Rowling got a bit trigger-happy toward the end--she got a little bit like, 'Oh, screw it, kill him as well,'" Mitchell said with a laugh. "I think there's a certain poignancy to Colin's death just because he was that picture of innocence and also bravery--the whole thing of sneaking back into the castle. So yeah, a lot of people were pretty cut up actually about Colin's death."

Creevey was expelled from Hogwarts after Voldemort assumed power because he was Muggle-born. He snuck back into Hogwarts for the final battle where he lost his life.

The next Harry Potter movie is the spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Rowling recently confirmed that the serieswill get five total movies.

In other Harry Potter news, graphic artist Olly Moss is now selling seven stunning art prints based on the the books. They will only be sold until October 25.
