I understand. If Half Life 3 ends up coming being announced, i'll jump to the first two again. Until that, i'll keep playing Left 4 Dead 2. That game never gets old, and 4 years have passed!

@PAL360 I agree with u L4D is amazing but i started playing Half-life again recently, and I find my self hooked once again wishing that i wasn't left on a cliffhanger. I to lost all my hype, kinda wish i didn't start playing it again, but couldn't help my self. But I should just go back to L4D, i still have DLC to buy for it anyway to help make it feel fresh again so should be worth my time and money.

On to the subject at hand, a Half-Life film... I can only imagine what a person like J.J. could do to for that series. O_o

@oflow @wgerardi hmmmm, I kind of agree with them in that aspect. If a game wants to have gratuitous violence for no reason other than they think it's cool, then its probably just made by dumb people... and the players of those games are just as hollow. Spec-Ops was a masterpiece and all of its violence is justified- can't say the same for games like CoD and BF. They are made by empty people for empty people (i.e. most of America) and just make war/violence look like fun- taking away any verism.

@wgerardi Best idea ever. The violence in video games articles lately have really made me nerd rage. Gamespot writers have this quasi politically correct anti violence stance but only as long as its in a game that they dont think tells a good story. Killing hundreds of guys is ok as long as its in Spec Ops the Line or something of that nature, but regular old FPS like BF3/CoD are gratuitious violence with no redeeming qualities that make people into mass shooters.

@Saketume Perhaps. I thought the new Star Trek was fantastic, and all of his other work while not really GOOD, is still ok. I have never walked out of anything attached to Abrams and found myself disappointed, just somewhere on a range between entertained (Lost and Cloverfield) and amazed (Star Trek).
