Ahmed Best says, "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back."

Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best has teased an upcoming Star Wars project with Activision. He posted on Instagram, "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back."

Best used a variety of hashtags in his post referring to motion-capture, Star Wars, Jar Jar Binks, Activision, Jedi, Sith Lord, and Kelleran Beq.

Anamaria Musca, producer on the upcoming Microsoft game South of Midnight from We Happy Few developer Compulsion Games, visited Activision's offices as well and tagged Best in a social media post. What does this all mean? We have no idea.

A report from 2018 said Disney had reached out to Activision and Ubisoft for a potential partnership on Star Wars games. The deal with Ubisoft materialized in the form of Star Wars Outlaws, but it remains to be seen if Activision is indeed making a Star Wars game.

Best re-shared the post from Musca that showed what looks to be a lobby area at the Activision offices in Los Angeles. How Star Wars, Compulsion Games, Best, and Jar Jar Binks might be connected is anyone's guess at this stage.

Hmmm
Hmmm

Unlike in the past when Disney and EA worked together on an exclusive publishing arrangement, these days, Disney is licensing its brands out to multiple developers at the same time.

For example, Ubisoft is developing Star Wars Outlaws, Zynga is making Star Wars Hunters, Quantic Dream is developing Star Wars Eclipse, and Respawn is making a Star Wars FPS.

Other upcoming Disney games include Indiana Jones and the Great Circle from Machine Games, Blade from Arkane, and Black Panther from EA.

Additionally, Disney just recently invested $1.5 billion into Epic Games to create a Disney metaverse inside Fortnite.
