Ironheart Set Photos Leak Showing Riri's Armor And The MCU Show's Villain

If you're having a hard time keeping track of all the MCU stuff currently in production, don't worry--we are, too. One of the most interesting, though, is the upcoming Ironheart show, and now some set photos have leaked.

Keep in mind that these are indeed leaks, and Disney and Marvel Studios may take them down. The first photo shows off the Ironheart suit--or at least one version of it--in all its glory. If protagonist Riri Williams is anything like Tony Stark, she's going to be revising this look three times every episode. The bulkier look is something between Iron Man and War Machine, and even calls to mind the armor from Doom 2016 and the Steel armor from the CW's Superman & Lois. Below is a look at actress Dominique Thorne, who plays Riri Williams, in a partial version of the armor. The rest of the outfit looks to be a motion-capture gear.

Also shown is the show's primary villain, The Hood, played by Anthony Ramos, complete with his titular red hood. Twitter account Ironheart News reports via industry leaker DanielRPK that the show will be about magic vs. technology and that the show will have some "crazy supernatural elements." This alone sets Ironheart apart from so many MCU superheroes who have fought what amounts to an evil version of themselves in their movie's finale; think of Ant-Man vs. Yellowjacket, Black Panther vs. Killmonger, and even Iron Man vs. Iron Monger. When we first heard about Ramos' casting, his role was unknown.

Riri Williams joined Marvel Comics back in 2016's Invincible Iron Man #6. Created by Brian Michael Benis and Mike Deodato, Williams is a 15-year-old engineer from Chicago who builds her own Iron Man-style armored suit. In the comics, that puts her in direct contact with Stark himself. For obvious reasons, that won't be happening. Instead, Williams will debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and we're guessing that Williams will be working alongside Shuri instead of Stark--not to mention getting some funding and access to Vibranium.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives on November 11, 2022, with Ironheart to follow--most likely sometime in 2023. That's not the end of the Armor Saga in the MCU either, as an Armor Wars show is in development following Rhodey and the War Machine armor.
