Irem Back on Track
The company known for the greatest console shooter series in recent memory is apparently back from the brink of extinction.
Long thought to be gone from the video game industry, Irem is back with a new PlayStation title. R-Type S for the PlayStation has been reported by Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu with a January release date.
Nothing more is currently known about the game, other than it's yet another installment in Irem's classic shooter series, which extended from the Sega Master System to the Super NES.
