Inspired by 70s king-fu flicks: Sleeping Dogs: The Zodiac Tournament Gameplay Gallery

Classic eastern action cinema has influenced the latest Sleeping Dogs downloadable content, which we got to see ahead of its launch this week.

The latest piece of downloadable content for sleeper hit Sleeping Dogs brings police officer Wei Shen to a mysterious island for a fighting competition that gathers the world's greatest combatants. The Zodiac Tournament takes its cues from 70s action cinema, so the cutscenes are intentionally degraded, the dialogue is badly dubbed, and the emphasis is on fighting, although some parkour is also involved.

We got to see the game in action ahead of the launch this week. Watch out for The Zodiac Tournament on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the next few days, and let us know if you're excited for the expansion.
