Your opponent has hidden them in the room, and it's your job to find them.

Your first stop is the safe, and you'll get hints as to where to find the combination if you listen. It's good practice to wander around the cabin, interacting with everything you can, and paying attention to what it teaches you. The combination is written down somewhere in the room, so be diligent in finding out everything you can to unlock it.
