The event organizers of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) are now in the planning stages for a physical, in-person event to take place next year. As such, CES 2021--which occurs in Las Vegas every year--will implement new safety measures in response to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Among the measures the organization, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), will enact includes widening the aisles for better social distancing, limiting touchpoints and enabling cashless transactions, providing sanitization stations, regularly cleaning facilities, and more.

To further following health and safety guidelines issued by the government, the CTA will also "expand the show's digital reach." In doing so, CES 2021 will feature more livestreamed content than previous showcases, with "many other engaging digital and virtual opportunities." These plans have not been detailed as of yet.
