Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is coming very soon, and it got a marketing boost from a noted turtle fan, who starred in a meme years ago.

Everybody likes turtles, but not everyone goes viral for professing their love for the animals at a young age. Well, the "I like turtles" kid (whose name is Jonathan) has finally returned, recording a recreation of his famous viral moment from 2007 as part of a press event for Paramount Pictures.

In the clip, Jonathan dons the same zombie style of face paint that he wore in the 2007, and hits his line with his usual aplomb. His "I like turtles" line became one of YouTube's earliest memetic hits, along with classics like Charlie Bit My Finger, the Grape Lady's unpleasant fall, and Chocolate Rain.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem releases on August 2, and it will release on Paramount+ at some unannounced point in the future. Variety reports that the film's sequel is already in development, along with a 2D animated series that will bridge the gap between the two movies. The voice talent behind all four turtles will also star in the animated series. We recently talked with director Jeff Rowe about the continuing popularity of the TMNT characters, and he said that the movie attempts to "emotionally ground" the turtles like never before.
