Humble Choice members enjoy a variety of perks as part of their 12/month subscription, but the best benefit is the monthly batch of PC games you can download at no additional charge and keep forever. April's selection is now live, and includes a diverse lineup of strategy games, horror games, and even an RPG and first-person shooter.

Humble Choice April 2024 games

  • Victoria 3
  • The Callisto Protocol
  • Humankind: Definitive Edition
  • Fashion Police Squad
  • Terraformers
  • Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga
  • Coromon
  • The Excavation of Hob's Barrow

Starting off April's batch of Humble Choice games is Victoria 3, a strategy game where players guide the development of real-world countries like Italy and Germany between the years 1836 to 1936. The game focuses on diplomacy and politics, letting you apply different economic and political models to build your country.

If that's not enough civilization-building for you, there's also Humankind: Definitive Edition. This historical 4X strategy game lets players build a civilization through seven major epochs of human history, starting in the ancient nomadic age and ending in the modern day. Single-player and online versus modes are available, and all matches play out in turn-based fashion and feature city building, economy management, diplomatic interactions, and tactical warfare.

While this month is front-loaded with epic strategy, there are plenty of action-focused games as well, like the third-person survival horror game The Callisto Protocol. This gory brawler launched last year to middling reviews, but may be worth checking out if you're itching for a sci-fi horror experience.

There are also a bunch of indies this month, like the charming first-person shooter Fashion Police Squad. The game is inspired by old-school PC shooters, but rather than blasting enemies with projectiles or explosives, Fashion Police instead arms you with "attire enhancing weaponry," as the game's Steam description says. These special firearms help you fix "Fashion Crimes" like baggy suits or garish colors plaguing the citizens of Trendopolis. Fashion Police Squad was also part of last month's lineup, giving you a second chance to grab the shooter if you missed out before.

Another noteworthy indie in April's collection is Coromon, a turn-based monster-taming RPG that's heavily inspired by Pokemon. The game features over 100 monsters to capture and train, charming 2D-pixel graphics, and a range of difficulty and accessibility options to make the adventure as easy--or as challenging--as you prefer.

The rest of April's Humble Choice picks include the Mars colony builder Terraformers; tactical fantasy-RPG Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga; and the spooky point-and-click adventure The Excavation of Hob's Barrow.

Humble Choice members can download all eight games now at no additional charge as part of their $12/month subscription, and you get to keep them forever. There are also other Humble Choice membership perks, like exclusive Humble Store deals and access to the Humble Games Collection, which is a rotating collection of PC games members can play as long as their subscription is active.

Be sure to grab these Humble Choice games before they're replaced with a new batch of games starting next month. And while you're at it, you should also check out the other Humble Bundle deals that are running out soon, like the Spring Screams survival horror bundle or this collection of Pathfinder 2E table RPG books.
