[UPDATE] A Best Buy representative tells GameSpot that while PS4 and Xbox One get the $10 coupon and the $15 trade-in value on a gift card, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 only receive the $10 coupon.

The original story is below.

With the release of Madden NFL 17 right around the corner, retailer Best Buy has launched a pretty solid offer where you can get the professional football game for as little as $35 on launch day.

Best Buy will give you a $15 gift card and a $10 coupon towards the purchase of Madden NFL 17 when you trade in a copy of Madden NFL 16 for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. If you use the gift card, you'll save a full $25 on the game, while the coupon alone drops the Madden NFL 17 price down to $50.

As explained on Best Buy's offer page, this deal is good in-store only (find a store near you with this store locator). Additionally, the trade-in offer expires on August 20, before Madden NFL 17 comes out on August 23.

The offer's fine print also mentions that Best Buy will give you a $10 coupon if you trade in Madden NFL 16 for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, but it's not clear if you get the $15 gift card as well. We have followed up with Best Buy in an attempt to get more details.

In all cases, the $10 coupon must be used towards the purchase of Madden NFL 17 by August 27.

If you're in the market for new hardware, Microsoft will launch a Madden NFL 17 Xbox One S bundle on August 23, featuring a pre-installed copy of the game on a 1 TB system. It also comes with seven Madden Ultimate Team Pro Packs and one month of EA Access. It will cost $350 and, for a limited time, preorder customers will be given a coupon for 20 percent off on the NFLShop.com.
