A new trailer for House of the Dragon has premiered, providing a new look at the upcoming prequel to HBO's popular fantasy show Game of Thrones. The thrilling trailer shows off some of the show's incredible-looking practical sets and extensive CG, including eye-catching sequences with dragons.

Like Game of Thrones, it appears House of the Dragon will be another fantasy drama involving the quest for power--and this will involve the spilling of blood and the drive to have a family name--the Targaryens--live on. "History does not remember blood. It remembers names," voiceover in the trailer says. The trailer also includes references to other well-known houses from Game of Thrones, including the Starks and Baratheons. Check out the trailer below.

House of the Dragon stars Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, with Emma D'Arcy playing Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Matt Smith portrays Prince Daemon Targaryen. For more, check out some newly revealed House of the Dragon character posters showing off these characters and more.
