Hidden & Dangerous 2 arrives safely

Gathering announced that Hidden & Dangerous 2 has shipped to stores across North America. The World War II tactical strategy game, developed by Illusion Softworks, is scheduled for release in Europe tomorrow.

"With Hidden & Dangerous 2, Illusion Softworks has created the ultimate World War II tactical action game," said Graeme Struthers, vice president of Gathering. "The game takes the innovative squad-based tactical strategy gameplay from the original Hidden & Dangerous and builds upon it with an improved graphics engine, highly detailed environments, and accurately modeled weapons and vehicles from the WWII era. The game is incredible it its ambition, detail, and execution."

Hidden & Dangerous 2 sees players assuming command of a squad of SAS soldiers charged with carrying out more than 20 dangerous missions, in locations all over the world, against the forces of Hitler, Mussolini, and the Japanese Empire. Players will have access to more than 40 weapons and 20 vehicles, and multiplayer modes of play will cater up to 32 players.
