Harrison Ford Has The Most Harrison Ford Response To MCU Red Hulk Rumors

Ford asks, "What is the Red Hulk?"

Actor Harrison Ford will make his MCU debut in 2024's Captain America: Brave New World. He protrays the character Thaddeus Ross, who is the President of the United States. In the lore, Ross eventually becomes Red Hulk. In a recent interview, Ford was asked if Red Hulk might be making an appearance after Ford was spotted wearing ripped pants.

It's a good and intriguing question, but Ford had no idea how to respond because he supposedly doesn't know who Red Hulk is. After ComicBook enthusiastically asked Ford if the ripped-pants photo might be suggesting an appearance by Red Hulk, Ford responded, "What is the Red Hulk?"

It's then explained to Ford who Red Hulk is, and Ford gave the most diplomatic answer. "Well, it may or may not," he said about Red Hulk potentially showing up.

This was yet another classic example of Harrison Ford being the legend we know him to be. He may genuinely not know who Red Hulk is, or he might be staying coy intentionally. In any event, Ford saying he has no idea who or what Red Hulk is made for a great response.

In the Marvel comics, Ross spirals into alcoholism and depression after his daughter is killed by Abomination and the Hulk is exiled off Earth. With his life in shambles, Ross teams up with some bad people and becomes the evil Red Hulk.

The announcement post that confirmed Brave New World had changed names from New World Order featured a photo of Ford that showed his semi-ripped jeans. If you zoom in, you can see his jeans have holes in them. People took this and ran with it as potential evidence that Ford is going to Hulk-out and become Red Hulk in Brave New World or the next movie, Thunderbolts.

Ford will be seen next in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which releases on June 30.
