DC has been a powerhouse with original animated series but has recently been branching off into more anime-based programs. DC has now announced a brand-new isekai anime starring the Suicide Squad, and the first teaser trailer can be watched below. Along with the upcoming My Adventures With Superman coming soon to Adult Swim, this is another series that has more of an anime-based flair.

Suicide Squad ISEKAI (Japanese term for "another world") is an all-new original anime series from Warner Bros. Japan and WIT Studio. WIT is the production studio behind such hits as Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, and Vinland Saga with creatives like Tappei Nagatsuki (Re:ZERO), Eiji Umehara (Pokemon the Movie), and director Eri Osada.

A teaser image by Akira Amano (REBORN!, ēlDLIVE) was also released in junction with the teaser. Amano is also credited with the original character designs for the series.

"I'm a big fan of Harley Quinn and the other characters in the Suicide Squad movie! It's an honor for me to be involved in the creation of Suicide Squad ISEKAI," Amano said in a statement. "The director Eri Osada's clear vision for Harley's design made the process smoother than expected, and I enjoyed drawing her costume and muscles while imagining her action-packed adventures in the story. I'm excited to see how the talented animation staff brings Suicide Squad ISEKAI to life!"

There's been no release date or casting information revealed at this time.
