Happy Wars hits 6 million players on Xbox Live
Xbox Live's first free-to-play game reaches new milestone; confirms an upcoming Season 2.
Free-to-play Xbox Live game Happy Wars has hit six million players, Xbox announced today.
Posting on Xbox Wire, PlayXBLA community coordinator Ashton Williams revealed new content for Happy Wars to celebrate the six million player milestone.
The update includes a Happy Wartober event which features special sale offers, exclusive items, and a new character class. According to the post, the special offers will be changed every day during October.
In addition to the announcement of new content, a Happy Wars: Season 2 was confirmed for the upcoming new year. No additional information was provided on what changes Happy Wars: Season 2 will bring.
Happy Wars is a free-to-play game which supports simultaneous play for up to 30 players (15 vs. 15), who must attack their opponents' castle while simultaneously defending their own. The game launched on Xbox Live as Microsoft's first free-to-play title.
