Halo Infinite Gets Maybe Its Most Horrifying Cosmetic Yet

It's a real eye-opener.

The Flood are arguably the most terrifying sights in the Halo franchise, but there's a new cosmetic in Halo Infinite that's coming for that title. Meet the Wendigo armor kit for the Chimera armor core, as seen below.

Available in the Halo Infinite shop, this cyclops-themed suit features a metallic skull sinking into the chest piece, and most obviously, a huge eye on the helmet with a green sclera and pink iris. The rest of the armor is mainly gray with pops of bright pink. Needless to say, the cosmetic will definitely stand out in contrast to more traditional Spartan suits in multiplayer matches.

Earlier this year, Halo Infinite did away with seasonal updates and is instead focusing on free operations. Currently the free-to-play multiplayer shooter is in the midst of the Cyber Showdown III operation, which added the Elevation map to the game along with new cosmetics. The end date is set for April 2.

One mode apparently not coming to Halo Infinite is a long-rumored battle royale mode, which was reportedly canceled. It was thought that developer Certain Affinity was behind this project for the game.

It wouldn't be the first Halo project that never got off the ground. Last month, it was reported that 343 Industries has pitched 30 different Halo games that never got made, including a "really dark" one.
