i remember watching this a long while ago ya bioshock won

Of all the BS, pay-to-win, bogus, corrupt, video game awards shows, this one is the king of all BS, pay-to-win, bogus, corrupt, video game awards shows.

I never take the Spike awards too seriously. Granted they are trying to make it more legitimate but when people who obviously care nothing or have nothing to do with the industry are doing the presenting/hosting and what not (musical guests especially) then I can't help but write it off.

WTF why would there be a best military game award - it's like f$#%ing advertisement.

man no offense to halo3 but its not that great... Call of Duty definetly should have won multiplayer of the year. Call of Duty has an AMAZING multiplayer with a rewards system and their ranking is fantastic! halo3 ranking systems are not as good as they can be.

Blasto19 is right P3 is IMO one of the greatest RPGs of all time and was really under rated

Bioshock is much much much more original than any other game released this year. Halo 3 is a great but pretty standard shooter with a nice addition (Forge) which is to limited. They should have released a map editor for Halo 3 which you can use on the PC and then transfer the file using a USB stick or by Bungie.Net. Just like Epic wants to do with the new Unreal. If they did that then by now there would be maby 100+ nice multiplayer maps.

i think halo 3 should have won best original score like halo or not the game had some of the best music in gaming

This is bull. Cod4 is deffinately game of the year. It's multi platform and was waaaaaaaaaaay way better than Halo 3. Spike knows nothing of video games. The Orange Box should be taken out because it is a group of games, not one individual game.

The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar was not based on a movie or TV show. It was based on Tolkien's writings. The license they have is for the books, not the movies. Thus, the game doesn't look like the way the movies showed everything.

why isn't Crysis running for game of the year? Mass Effect? i mean mass effect is a good game and all but it's no where near crysis.

I like Bioshock, most people will probably vote Halo 3, but I think Bioshock should get this since it's a rather unique game with a though-provoking storyline and really incredible design in characters and enviorments.

Game of the year is Crysis hands down. Theres no other game thats even in the same level as Crysis. Not even Bioshock can match up to Crysis.

Liked BioShock had scary moments where it made you sit back an go woah. But didnt have the entire Survial Horror feel about it like you did with say F.E.A.R or any of the Silent Hill games. Also CoD4 Awesome, everything the graphics the A.I the sounds the lighting effects. Weapon Tech. everything All tops. Game I am most disappointed about. Kane an Lynch, I believe with as well as Eidos has done \, (Not a steller Success But not in the basement of the industry.) Could have done a little bit better with the gameplay, like the aiming is elementary the A.I is pretty retarded, Bang Bang Bang oh shucks gettin hit here guess I will move Bang ooop nevermind. The Story however I liked its a good Anti hero story you know you shouldnt want them to succeed but you look at it like what is the lesser of the 2 evils. And Finally Assassins Creed. Man Awesome Awesome game dont like the Travel time between missons but the investigating the mark and helpin the locals. Awesome adds more to the story then say Hitman did...which is still one of my Fav. Games ever. and the movie better rock or I shall be Livid.

Game of the year, Bioshock or Orange Box. Halo 3 has one of the shorest campains ive played(no i havent played through CoD4's campain). Mass Effect isn't even out yet. Bioshock has the weirdest, craziest, scariest campains ever, and to top that it looks fantastic and plays flawlessly. Orange Box has the same as bioshock, but with Team Fortress 2 which is multiplayer, but Orange Box consists of two games that werent released at least one year ago each. Best shooter, i've got to give it to call of duty 4, its just way too insane.. Runner up - halo 3 Action game, God of war 2, because i havent played any of the other nominations yet. Rythem - I have no idea, my moneys on rock band but its not out yet so you cant be sure. Guitar hero 3 was medicore, rocks the 80's was worse, and what's "Jam Sessions" RPG - Havent played any of these, mass effect's spose to be woahafying. Driving - Forza, because nothing else is really as awesome on the list. Military - Call of duty 4, its just "woah". Studio - Definently Irrational Games, bungie would be the winner but the fact that they havent fixed the bug which makes my halo 3 not work correctly, a bug that has been reported since the launch date. I miss halo 3 (BUG = Best Graphics - I don't care actually. Mass effects graphics look horrible in my opinon. Breakthrough - Halo 3, the replay/saved films feature is awesome, Forge is imentsly fun(although its not garrys mod). PS3 - Uncharted Wii - Super mario galaxy Xbox360 - Halo 3, because bioshock is avalible on the pc so its just another game ON the 360 not only FOR the 360. PC - Crysis I DONT CARE FOR THE NEXT 3 CATEGORYS. Best spin off game - Stranglehold or Naruto: Rise of a Ninja theyre both decent, but most spin off games suck hard. Score - Bioshock gave me chills Multiplayer - Halo 3 or CoD4. Addictive - Halo 3

I really think CoD4 deserves GOTY nominee, not Halo 3. Bioshock deserves the win though.

the orange box is very impressive and excellent game... so The Orange Box should be "best shooter" , "best pc game" , "game of the year". also Valve Software should be "the studio of the year" ..

mr17x the break through in halo 3 is gameplay, forge, and saved films. if you say the gameplay is the same since halo 2, then why do people still play it? maybe its that good? i dont know what you think, but if the same exact gameplay is being played for 3 years and is going to keep going strong then maybe the gameplay might be alittle good?

this is quite on the useless side ... Forcing Halo 3 into everything is really a worrying trend in the industry. And whats with the game of the year nominations, do they have anything apart from shooters? I consider Mass Effect to be in the shooters universe, lets see if Halo 3 did not win game of the year ... that would be interesting ..

yeah its all just opinionated and i do think that they did just go on hype unless they played them already which could be the case but they are good games for the most part i mean good choices
