Valve Software has announced the release of the latest upgrades for its popular action games Half-Life and Counter-Strike. The Counter-Strike update includes two new missions and support for Valve's new "anti-cheat network."

The Half-Life 1.1.0.9 and Counter-Strike 1.0.0.4 server and client files are available for download from the links below, and the client files are also available through the beta version of Valve's upcoming Steam broadband distribution service. People taking part in the Stream beta will receive the updates automatically and can skip the download process. Valve hopes its Steam service will replace the traditional upgrade process of manually downloading and installing patches, and the company plans to migrate all its games to the service before the version 1.5 upgrade for Counter-Strike is released.
