Guild Wars: Sorrow's Furnace stoked
Content patch adds new regions, quests, and monsters; makes faction point acquisition quicker.
ArenaNet has released the Sorrow's Furnace content patch for its popular Guild Wars massively multiplayer online role-playing game. And in a seemingly unprecedented occurrence that threatens to change the way people think about significant MMORPG updates, the changes it makes are being generally well received by the player community with a bare minimum of vulgar outbursts.
Among the changes in Sorrow's Furnace are two new regions, each with its own new quests, monsters, and bosses; new veteran-level Titan Quests; more gold for low-level quests; reworked rules for acquiring skill points; and permanently accelerated acquisition of faction points (first seen in the recent "PVP Extreme Weekend"). For a complete list of changes, check out the game's official Web site.
