Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Will Have MCU's First F-Bomb, And Here It Is

"Open the f**king door."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will include the MCU's first use of the word "f**k." In case there is any doubt, that's not "fork" or "funk." That's the unholy F-bomb.

A new clip from the film posted on YouTube reveals that Chris Pratt will deliver this line as Star-Lord in a scene where the crew are getting into the car. Mantis (Pom Klementieff) is trying to get into a car and struggling with the handle. To open the door, Mantis needs to press down on a button and pull the door open, but she can't quite get it right. Star-Lord finally loses it and says, "Open the f**king door."

In this clip, the F-bomb is censored. However, in the final film, it won't be, writer-director James Gunn confirmed on Twitter, thus delivering the MCU's first utterance of the word.

Gunn also confirmed that Pratt improvised the line, and the director liked it so much that he decided to keep it in the final cut.

Similar to the MCU, no one in any Star Wars movie or TV series has ever said "f**k." This almost happened, though, as Andor actually filmed an F-bomb, but it didn't make the final cut, and you can bet Lucasfilm won't let the footage get out.

The fact that the MPAA only allows one F-bomb for a PG-13 movie has made for some great discussion fodder over the years. For example, the Lord of the Rings movies are rated PG-13, and as such, are allowed one F-bomb per entry. For years, fans have theorized where it would be best to place the word "f**k" in the Peter Jackson movies, and the results are incredible.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 releases in May and ends the existing Guardians of the Galaxy series.
