GTA 6 Trailer Features A Fun Red Dead Easter Egg

Last seen in Vice City.

Comments

GTA 6's trailer is loaded with easter eggs and references. That said, fans on Twitter and Reddit noticed a particularly interesting one that might've flashed by too fast for others to notice. One of the stickers in the trailer looks suspiciously similar to Everett Morgan, a bounty target from Red Dead Online.

Both posts from Twitter and Reddit show the sticker and poster side by side. They both feature a man with dark, unkempt hair and an unruly mustache. However, the wanted poster has more details like his neckerchief and outfit. It's unclear what this means for GTA 6, like if Morgan will reappear as an alternative universe version or descendant of himself.

Everett Morgan isn't a very notable character. So far, he doesn't appear in any other Red Dead games besides Red Dead Online. His poster claims that he's wanted for participating in a train robbery and in the death of the conductor. He doesn't show up in any major plot point, just as a bounty for you to collect.

Some commenters, even if they played a Red Dead game, might not even remember him because of the small part he played.

"I honestly thought it was Ron Swanson [from Parks and Rec]," one Redditor commented.

Despite the GTA 6 trailer leak, the trailer itself was so successful that it broke the record for most views in 24 hours on a non-music video. It couldn't quite meet the same highs that BTS' Butter did, but not many franchises could. In the meantime, fans have their hands full speculating on what else is on the horizon after the trailer.

GTA 6 is currently in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
