Now Playing: Grand Theft Auto Online - Video Review

Twitter user ItsJackFrost reports that the festive season brings a load of Christmas-themed clothes, including some fetching jumpers, available for free. There's also Santa and Gingerbread Man-themed masks, plus up to $50,000 bigger rewards when you sell vehicles stolen from the recent Import/Export update.

Lastly, two new car variants, the Truffade Nero and Nero Custom, are available for purchase, and other items such as custom apartments and a selection of guns get a 25% discount. there will likely be even more included in the festive update; we'll update if we hear more from Rockstar via official channels.

Import/Export, the latest big expansion for GTA Online, was recently released for free, introducing a bunch of new cars and buildings. Meanwhile it has been reported that GTA V has sold over 6 million copies in the UK alone, with around 70 million sales worldwide. It continues to sell well each week.

@PayneKiller: No kidding! I mean there are still douchebags in the game... but I *love* the game now. Most of the cheaters are gone, a lot of folks won't bother you doing business unless you mess with them first, getting full activities is easy... tons of stuff to do and buy.

@punksterdaddy: I remember she made remarks about how bad the women in the game were in terms of how women are represented, which whilst true, the men in the game were hardly positive pillars of society either! I mean, the only character in the game who could be seen as a positive role model at all was Floyd!

@Hordriss: Oh I remember all that very well. I was not a fan and it had nothing to do with her being trans.

She is partner in crime with good ol' Anita Sarkessian. I suppose Anita needed someone with Gaming knowledge, seeing as though she never had any herself.

The MP in this game is trash.. Every time I search for a game, it either puts me into a lobby with nobody, or it asks me to "Change my aim settings" off of free aim. Nobody plays the game in free aim AKA how you are supposed to play a video game... Why not have a list of lobbies for game modes and show how many players are in each lobby, like Battlefield? Every time I try to play the online, I end up giving up after 25-30 minutes of trying to find a match with no success

Sadly, no single player dlc that Rockstar promised to us. I wish all this free crap could have been put in the single player campaign.

@titankiller1: No because Rockstar are PvPers hoes, we can't even have fun and proper coop missions, single player campaign will come in 2 years if it ever comes.

@JDFS: They're making more money releasing the Online content so why would they stop and do something else ? if the business model is working why change it ?

@ltjohnnyrico: The old business model of releasing single player DLC worked well for them (their GTA4 content set sales records if I remember correctly) and they changed that.

Many young people forget that companies made plenty of money making single player DLC before Devs started tacking on multiplayer.

@martyngiles: I get that they made money with the Single Player DLC but what the kids miss is that if a business can put less time and money into a project and still increase profits then they will .. and this is what they are doing .. and while a lot of people are moaning about no SP content - everyone else is buying up their Online stuff.

I like both Single Player and Multiplayer Games so any extra content on either front is welcome !

@ltjohnnyrico: I understand that but personally I think it's a shame and quite disrespectful on the behalf of the developer not to supply a product that they were well known for when there is huge demand for it.

I don't buy the "I wouldn't have bought the game if I'd known they weren't gonna do single player dlc" that I see from a lot of internet turds, the game is very good on its own.

For me the situation points to a larger problem with the industry: wanting maximum profit for very 'little' effort.

I know that profit for effort or value for money isn't how most industries work any more but gaming used to be about pleasing the consumer and making a profit from selling games that people adored, since mobile gaming showed that milking the naive/rich/parents who can't be bothered to entertain their children was a viable method of generating profit for minimal effort it seems like proper gaming developers (no, I don't consider many mobile games to be worthy of being held in the same esteem as console/pc games. Some are good games but their number is insignificant in comparison to the chaff imo) have become enamored with forcing the same constructs into main stream games, it's become a race to see who can force the most regressive system into their game while still making money and it can't be healthy for the industry if the trend continues on its downward slide.

The only reason that there hasn't been a backlash already (in my opinion obviously) is because young people have never known anything different and their parents just want to keep them quiet/happy so throw money at them.

I didn't have such a big issue with GTA online when it first came out, money could be made easily enough and while it's supposed to be fairly easy still (from what I've been reading, I haven't played in a while) I see more and more people complaining that Rockstar are making in game cash harder to earn and/or worth less as to 'promote' the buying of the money cards.... those cards are from where my problem with GTA online stems, GTA5 was a full priced AAA game it isn't a free mobile game but the purchasable in game credits are priced at about the same value as mobile game credits. I feel that the game should either be provided for free or the in game cash should be far cheaper to buy and easier to earn as it has no real value, it takes nothing to produce.

I would also like to see Rockstar provide content for the people that helped build the company as well as for the younger generation that doesn't know how greedy the industry has become since my youth.

I guess my biggest problem is that I'm fairly old compared to the target audience, I'm old enough to remember a better way of doing things.

I'm a relic lol

Please excuse me if my comment seems a bit scatty, I'm on really strong pain killers so my thoughts are fragmented.

Edit*

I just realised what day it is. Have a merry Christmas for tomorrow roughneck ;-)
