GT4: Prologue for US gamers being considered

TOKYO--In response to an inquiry from GameSpot, Sony Computer Entertainment's Tokyo headquarters said today that it has not yet reached a decision on releasing Gran Turismo 4: Prologue Edition in the US.

The spokesperson also commented that SCE performs its own localization work for overseas releases. This is good news for US gamers, as it's probably faster than outsourcing to a third party. Even so, as of this writing, it doesn't look like GT4: Prologue is going to be on anyone's gift list this holiday season.

A spokesperson did confirm that the full version of Gran Turismo 4 would be released in Japan and the US in 2004, though the exact date has yet to be determined.
