While the top two spots on NPD Techworld's latest weekly list of best-selling games remain unchanged, several recently released games made an appearance further down the list. The Sims: Vacation, Electronic Arts' popular expansion pack for its popular virtual-life game The Sims, led the way in first place, as it has for the past nine weeks. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, LucasArts' Star Wars action game, remained in second place. Grand Theft Auto III, Take-Two's PC version of its award-winning action game for the Sony PlayStation 2, came in third place in its first partial week of release, followed by Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix, Activision's recently released first-person shooter, in fourth. The Sims, EA's perpetually best-selling virtual-life game, held on to fifth place.
