Gran Turismo 7 is coming to the PlayStation 5, and it'll make use of the system's unique features. Now, some more details about the game have been revealed on PlayStation's website, revealing some of the game's performance targets.

According to the site update, Gran Turismo 7 will use ray tracing to achieve a high visual quality, and it will support 4K and HDR while targeting a frame rate of 60fps. The Gran Turismo series has always aimed for high visual quality, and it seems that GT7 will continue this trend.

A release date has not been announced for GT7 yet, now have there been any hands-on opportunities. The site specifically says that a 60fps frame rate is being "targeted", so we'll see how the final game holds up.

Other listed features include fast loading thanks to the PS5's ultra-high speed SSD, use of the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers for realistic brake pedal weight and ABS vibrations, and haptic feedback to match road surfaces. The PS5's 3D audio capabilities will also come into play.

The PlayStation 5 will be available starting on November 12. Here's everything you need to know about it.

Operative words: “Targeting 60fps”. I’m just throwing that out there.

So the new machine is so powerful - but this is a discussion point? I have both the ps4/xbox1x and the Xbox One X version runs Forza 7 at native 4K and a solid 60 frames per second - so 3 years later this is a discussion point for a machine supposedly as powerful as a high end computer? Sure GT7 will be nicer than Forza 7 - but No one spending 500 should have to choose 4k/60fps (Demon Souls) or wonder if this new shiny game will match the quality of an xbox1x. at this day and age 4k/60fps is a standard not a wish list

Chequer board ray-traced?

If the ps5 cannot deliver 60 frames as standard, id like to know how or why!!!

I will be surprised if its 4K or again upscaled 4K @ 60 frames.

1440p i can believe.

Proper VR mode would be appreciated along with a more robust single player this time.

I know the devs delivered more single player on ps4 after the "multiplayer" GT6 was released and i see why, however imo a side step away from what makes the series so great.

Still its nice to see GT7 is coming.

@gamerforlife96: ha oh wow someone else on here assuming they know me and what i own or making stupid comments without any substance!!!

Iv got all play-stations from the beginning, infact iv got every console since 1977 including Microsoft yes and i thoroughly enjoy those too !!!

But thanks for your constructive reply , thrusting your intellect into any conversation.

Try learning about the history of gt or any computer based cpu or graphics cards along with ssd's, resolution, chequer boarding visuals and the benefits or rewards along with the power needed to push all this !!!

Or dont and continue to look idiotic on here!!

:)

@gamerforlife96: yeah the series s is great value if you dont mind the resolution of 1440p only?.

IMO the £449 (UK) play-station 5 DISC version is the only option if you can afford it, NOT THE DIGITAL version which is kinda the only competition for the series s, costing slightly more.

For a few bucks more isn't it worth going for the top models of either Microsoft or Sony and IF you can get one?

I personally have secured a ps5 disc version (so far) but i must admit Microsoft's series s is incredible value for the price and i will look at that after xmas.

Also Mario kart live from Nintendo is so inventive for the switch and to be honest perfect for xmas for me and the kids!!!

This just sounds like scaled 4k, which isn't really news. 60FPS is more so news (though I hope a lot more next gen games default to 60).

One would think that with 10 TFLOPs of performance this system should be able to hit 4K at 60fps with no issues.

I'd work on AI first. in GT Sport its good and racey but still too slow compared to player on many parts of race tracks.
