Gran Turismo 6 demo launching July 2
Trial for PlayStation 3 racing game arriving next month to mark beginning of GT Academy 2013.
A demo for Polyphony Digital's PlayStation 3 racing simulator Gran Turismo 6 will arrive on July 2, Sony announced today in a PlayStation Blog post.
Gamers can play the demo purely for fun or they can submit a qualifying time for a chance to advance to the GT Academy 2013 National Finals.
The demo will feature the beginner rounds of a GT Academy-themed race camp before unlocking the final qualifying event at the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.
Every player who registers and submits a qualifying time will receive "free bonus content," though this was not detailed at any length.
Gran Turismo 6 launches this holiday only on PS3. Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi said last month "We have a PS4 version in mind for the future," but would not give more details.
