GOM eXP might have their eyes on the future, but that hasn't stopped them from re-visiting old classics. Fans of Brood War should definitely prepare their excitement as an invite-only RO8 featuring Yellow, Jangbi, Sea and more will be making an appearance in February. (Currently looks to be a one-off, but that may change depending on fan interest) No matter how you look at it, their plans for the upcoming year look pretty exciting -- even for non-Koreans. The upcoming Global Championship will, as the name suggests, include international players. It seems like they'll even be making an effort to bring personalities like Innovation and Jaedong to the tournament.

For easy reference, the schedule is as followed:

  • Jan.15 - Apr.5: GSL S1.
  • Feb: Gomtv Classic S4.(BW)
  • Apr.9 - Jun.28: GSL S2.
  • Apr: Global Championship
  • Jul.16 - Oct.4: GSL S3.
  • Dec: Hot Six Cup
