Amazon's Big Deal Days event is going on now, and it includes some nice discounts on a range of entertainment products, including movie box sets. One such discount is a nice offer on the 4K Lord of the Rings bundle.

The 4K bundle, which includes all three films and their theatrical and extended editions, is available now for only $40 on Amazon. That's a pretty nice 56% discount off the standard $90 price, and the cheapest price we've ever seen on Amazon. Shipping is fast and free for Prime members, and you can order yours through the link below.

This bundle also includes digital versions of all six films as well as "Middle-Earth," a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the films with director Peter Jackson. There are nine discs in all.

The 4K LOTR set was on sale previously for $60, and that was a good deal. For $40, it's an even more intriguing deal for anyone who wants to upgrade. The Oscar-winning movies still hold up, 20 years later, and might also make for a good gifting option for any fans of Middle-earth in your life.

If Lord of the Rings isn't your thing, Amazon also has a nice discount on a bundle that includes both Sonic the Hedgehog movies. Plenty of other film and TV box sets are on sale, too, including The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, and more.

Amazon's Big Deals Day event continues through tomorrow, October 11, so keep checking back with GameSpot for more deals on movies, games, tech, and lots more. Be sure to also check out GameSpot's rundown of the best overall gaming and tech deals in the gallery below.
