Control: Ultimate Edition offers the complete experience, packaging the base game with all of its bonus content and expansions. The Foundation and AWE expansions add on to the story by taking Jesse Faden through new areas of the Oldest House, including its depths and an abandoned sector. The AWE expansion is also the first Remedy Connected Universe event, which bridges the gap between this game and the Alan Wake series.

Control is one of the best games of 2019 and scored an 8/10 in GameSpot's Control review. Critic Peter Brown praised its "gorgeous art style" and "stylish combat," noting that it does a great job of evoking dread and awe.

"It's not often that a game invades my thoughts the way Control has," he wrote. "I'm at the point where I want to consume every last thing it has to offer. And if I'm honest, it also makes me want to go back and replay Remedy's past games, too."
