GameStop Meme Stock Movie Dumb Money Out Now On Digital

The GameStop meme stock movie, Dumb Money, is out now on digital for the first time since its debut in theaters back in September. You can buy the film from a variety of digital stores, including Prime Video. On Amazon's website, you can purchase the movie outright for $20.

Sony Pictures has not yet announced when the movie will be available to rent, though, so right now your only option is to purchase the movie. You can grab it via the Amazon link below, or look for Dumb Money on Apple TV, Google Play, YouTube, the Microsoft Store, and Vudu.

Dumb Money is a Hollywood adaptation of the GameStop meme stock story that made global headlines in early 2021. Wall Street investors betted that the stock would fail, leading to a short squeeze situation that sent the stock price soaring as daytraders scooped up shares.

The movie stars Paul Dano as Keith Gill AKA Roaring Kitty AKA DFV, the daytrader whose posts on the wallstreetbets subreddit helped inspire the movement in the first place. The movie also stars Pete Davidson, Vincent D'Onofrio, America Ferrera, Nick Offerman, Seth Rogen, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley, Anthony Ramos, and Clancy Brown.

Dumb Money is directed by Craig Gillespie, who previously directed I, Tonya, Pam & Tommy, and the Disney movie Cruella. The film is based on the book The Antisocial Network by Ben Mezrich. It was the third major movie to be based on one of his books, the two previous being The Social Network and 21. Mezrich's latest book, Breaking Twitter, is about Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter.
