We finally got a look at Need for Speed Heat's gameplay during Gamescom 2019. The gameplay trailer breaks down everything available in the new open-world of Palm City, including outracing the cops and customizing your car.

Need for Speed Heat will feature sanctioned races during the day, where you can use the rewards to tweak your car's performance and outfit it with various visual enhancements. Cops roam the streets, though, so you'll have to be careful as you drift around the city's corners. Things get a little hairier at night: Become too renown and the cops will unleash helicopters and rhinos to put an end to your reign.

You can create your custom car ahead of the game's November 8 release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One with Need for Speed Heat Studio. Once done in Need for Speed Heat Studio--available to download now on Android and iOS--you can push your custom car to EA's servers, which will then make it available in the full game.

Need for Speed Heat, unveiled late last week, is the newest game from recently-appointed Need for Speed proprietors Ghost Games. Responsible for 2015's Need for Speed reboot and 2017's Need for Speed Payback, Ghost Games and publisher EA have confirmed that, unlike previous Need for Speed titles, Need for Speed Heat won't have loot boxes.
