GAME to host speed-dating events in Sydney and Melbourne

If the search for your perfect Player 2 has come to a bit of a halt, then perhaps retailer GAME's latest marketing campaign in Australia can give you the power-up that you were looking for.

It's called Game Swinging, and the basic idea is that you meet at a bar with the intention of trading in your old games and finding yourself someone special. You get 10 minutes to converse with your potential multiplayer partner, at which point you can either move on to the next station or go into the High Scorers' Suite. Inside the High Scorers' Suite, you and your potential match will be able to get to know each other more intimately, swap numbers, and play games together.

The first Game Swinging event kicks off this Thursday night in Sydney, but it is, unfortunately, all booked out. Melbourne gets a taste of this unique take on speed dating early in the New Year on February 2, while an event for Brisbane is in the pipeline; however, no details for it are available at this stage.
