Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage May Star in the Next Two Avengers Movies

Marvel's next two Avengers films may feature one of the stars of Game of Thrones, according to a new report.

Peter Dinklage is in "early talks for a key role" in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, according to Variety. Marvel declined to comment on the report, as is the norm.

There's no word on what role he'd play--the guessing game can start now--although he will reportedly appear in not just Infinity War, but the next movie after that. The two films are being shot back-to-back.

Production on Game of Thrones' Season 7 recently wrapped up, Variety notes, which frees up his summer to shoot the movies. Filming on Game of Thrones has shifted to later in the year to compensate for the change in seasons on the show itself.

Infinity War is slated for a release on May 4, 2018, with its sequel coming on May 3, 2019. Doctor Strange will appear in Infinity War, while Captain Marvel will make her debut.
