Koei has today released G1 Jockey 3 for the PlayStation 2 in Europe. The game, which is the second in the series to make it to Europe from Japan, sees players assuming the role of an apprentice jockey and attempting to work their way up the career ladder and, in turn, earn rides on better horses and in bigger races.

There are more than 6,000 different horses in the game, and in G1 Jockey 3, players have more interaction with their mounts than in previous installments, thanks to the inclusion of new jockey skills such as whip techniques and the ability to adjust the horse's leading leg and the position of the bit in its mouth. In addition to the career mode, G1 Jockey 3 features training and race support for two players simultaneously.

G1 Jockey 3 is now available in Europe, but no North American release has been confirmed at this time. We'll bring you more information on the game as it becomes available.
