Virtual money maker Fin Fin propels company to expand product line.

Comments

Fujitsu Interactive, a division of Fujitsu Ltd., has announced a new expansion campaign into the PC entertainment market, including several new offline and online projects.

New products will include Masters of the Arcade; PC-converted titles of Taito, SNK, and Takara; and licenses like Battle Arena Toshinden 2, Fatal Fury 3, Puzzle Bobble 2, and Darius Gaiden. Each will be sold separately with 3D acceleration and network play capabilities.

Fujitsu Interactive will also breathe more life in the popular Fin Fin dolphin virtual pet by producing Fin Fin: Deluxe Edition, this time around with the dolphin responding to actual voice commands and new locations to play in. Fin Fin: Deluxe Edition can be used both as a stand-alone and product upgrade for current owners.

Also in the fall, Fujitsu Interactive will launch an Internet game show run on an ad-supported network similar to Berkeley's beZerk game show network. A number of shows are in creation but nothing has been announced as of yet.

Each of the titles will be competitively priced between US$20 and $30 retail and should be hitting stores soon.
