WildStar's Steam release was announced back in February, and now we finally know when you'll be able to play it on Valve's PC game platform. The free-to-play MMO hits Steam on June 9.

Developer Carbine Studios has a couple offers on hand as WildStar launches on Steam. New bundles will be available on its Steam page, while similar packages will feature in the in-game store. These bundles include things like cosmetic items, pets, mounts, and Signature time--the game is free-to-play, though you can subscribe to receive exclusive bonuses and perks.

The Steam version of WildStar will include all of its content, including what's new in the Destination Arcterra update. The latest update adds a brand new area, a dynamic blizzard event, a new instance, and more. You can read all about it here.

Carbine was hit with layoffs in March, which resulted in the cancellation of WildStar's Chinese release. The cuts were part of a "reorganization," in which the developer refocused its support on western markets only.

"Unfortunately, as a result of these changes, we've had to reduce staff," Carbine said. "These cuts are directly tied to WildStar's evolution from a product in development to a live title, to the cancellation of work to bring WildStar to China, and to the overall performance of WildStar since launch in 2014."

WildStar received a score of 7 in GameSpot's review, in which critic Kevin VanOrd concluded, "WildStar inspires compulsion, laying down trails of tasty candies that lead to even more candy trails, and in doing so, makes the case that "fun" can be a fine cornerstone around which to construct a massive adventure."
