Is it not possible, that if you're at a certain level of popularity on a streaming service, to get in contact with your local precinct and give them some info about the possibility that you might get swatted. Give them a link to your stream, I would think they'd appreciate not just being warned to not waste their time and resources but to have intelligence on what your room set up is and what's going on in there in real time.

There should be a mandatory 10 year minimum jail sentence for anyone caught "swatting". Not only is this a serious waste of police resources, but it could (and has) lead to someone being injured or killed.

It is true what the guy below said. I'm retired law enforcement (20 years service, now 53 years old) from a big city, and personally, i've never heard of Emergency Services (our SWAT) being dispatched to such nonsense.

In fact, they're much more dispatched, even an everyday occurrence to get someone out of a broken elevator.

I don't at all want to seem disrespectful to other agencies throughout the country, being i just don't know how they're doing business.

There does need to be some sifting thru these calls before you send the cavalry.

Haha, you know you live in a laughable country if some random idiot can call in a SWAT team !!!!! Laughable !!!!! I have no words, no words.....This is how real professional law enforcement goes about it. First, 911 phone operator will check immediately if phone number legit. Anything like blocked number, phone with no real registered address (throw away numbers, etc) will immediately arouse suspicion, same with public phone stations etc, they will want to make sure you call with your home or legit cell phone which they can call you back at anytime for whatever reason and talk with you for however long. Sure, there are walkarounds to that, but hey, it's a start. If that is fine, a Civil/Undercover Police car immediately dispatched while SWAT on passive standby. Undercover will quickly note any suspicious activity (trained for that), and worse case, dressed as postman, gardener, or something (anything really), approach the premises to further assess while in contact with the police station that has a direct line with a SWAT Commander. This whole procedure is cheaper, safer, and more efficient.

But I just have to laugh if I go to the US on holidays, and pick up the phone, call 911 and say "Yo, I need a SWAT team on Idiot Avenue 123 because some geek there is building a bomb to blow up the whole neighborhood", and the dispatch person "Yes, sir, thanks for your report. Do you think we need the FBI HRT on stand by too just in case, or will the SWAT team suffice?". "Actually, call the Pentagon, get Delta Force in here, could be a nuclear bomb", "Yes sir, you are right sir, thanks for the report, we're sending in SWAT and Delta".... seriously, what a joke, all of this, laughable....I mean, there are no words.

Sorry, did not mean to offend, I love the US, but I am getting tired over such news that this joke still keeps happening, if you only knew how much tax-payer money is wasted on a false SWAT deployment, I mean, not to mention so many other problems, factors that occur or could occur....
