Empire Interactive has today announced that it'll release Ford Racing Evolution for the PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox in October. The game, which is currently in development at Razorworks, will allow players to get behind the steering wheels of no less than 32 different Ford vehicles spanning around 50 years.

Vehicles confirmed for inclusion in Ford Racing Evolution to date include the 1955 Thunderbird, 2002 Thunderbird, 1968 Mustang, 1971 Mustang, Mustang Mach III, Mustang GT Concept Car, SVT Mustang Cobra, SVT Lightning, Gran Torino, Focus Rally, Ford GT, 49 Coupe, and the new 2004 F-150. Race locations in the game will include standard race circuits and ovals, rally courses, and city streets.

Further information on Ford Racing Evolution is scarce at present, save for the fact that many of the cars in the game will need to be unlocked via special challenges, and that multiplayer options will be supported. We'll bring you more on the game as soon as it becomes available.
