Fly! 2K is essentially an upgraded version of last year's critically acclaimed Fly!. The original Fly! was a civilian flight simulator that was lauded for its realistic flight model, its realistic renditions of various cities throughout the world, and its realistic cockpit, control readouts, and engine start-up sequence. In the original Fly!, you played as a pilot who had access to five different civilian planes: the Cessna 172R, the Piper Malibu Mirage, the Piper Navajo Chieftain, the Beechcraft King Air B200, and the Raytheon Hawker 800XP jet. Each aircraft was authentically modeled after the real-life plane, and with the exception of collisions (which didn't result in crashes, but rather, harmless deflections), each plane flew, turned, and handled accurately. In addition, the original Fly! included a staggering number of real-world locations: 9,500 airports, 13,500 runways, 16,000 navaids, and 200 countries, including flight itineraries over major cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, and Chicago.

Fly! 2K includes all the features of the original game. In addition, it comes packaged with many user-created add-ons, plus the new Sky! environment exciter and support for real-time voice chat over the Internet via the popular voice utility Roger Wilco.

Interested pilots won't need to wait for Fly! 2K at all; the game has already been released and is available now. And better still, owners of the original Fly! won't need to buy anything - they can obtain all of Fly! 2K's updates and upgrades for free.
